Well, it’s Friday, and lets face it, it’s been a slow news day. Luckily, though, I found something to leave you with. When work is slow, Twitter is cruising (…lets not go jumping to any conclusions here) and, coincidentally, it is an interest in this smorgasbord of opinionated twaddle that has led me to this interesting nugget.
It sees that some young chap with entirely too much time on his hands has found a way to convert Tweets into sounds.
It’s like magic! |
He’s written a program that allocates a particular sound to every key, and combination of, on the keyboard. The program then gobbles up tweets and spits out the soundtrack to an R2 unit sex romp. This apparently was creative and complicated enough to warrant a university degree, although no one is entirely sure why.
Whether it should be considered some sort of crazy, chaotic, post-modern instrument, or a waste of several hundred man-hours that could have been put to better use, say, getting a job and contributing to society are entirely up for debate, but, hey, this is what Twitter sounds like!
Here’s an interview with the creator. Kind puts everything into perspective…
And here is a video explaining the science. I dare you…
